This extensive range of mounting boxes for the modular switch system Plana offers installation containers with protection level IP40 and boxes with IP55 protection covers as well as flush-mounted IP55 covers with swiveling lids. The closing mechanisms for these lids are normally clearly visible elements surrounded by gaps and exposed to dust and dirt accumulation. The solution we developed enabled us to make the closing mechanism virtually invisible without any gaps at the front, perfectly matching the aesthetic style of the parent series. Intensive design-driven research resulted in a patent pending mechanism with intuitive and ergonomic unlocking interaction – all this molded as a one-piece component without any additional parts.
